Penn Home Ownership Services

Penn Home Ownership Services helps foster the University's commitment to neighborhood development by offering incentives and support to faculty and staff to purchase and renovate homes in West Philadelphia. The office offers eligible employees the opportunity to apply for financing for home purchase or improvement.

Off-Campus Services

Off-Campus Services assists students, faculty and staff at all stages of their off-campus living experience. The office provides information on housing options, landlords, roommates, leasing, tenant rights and responsibilities, utilities, insurance, safety and tenant feedback.

Student Housing and Related Services

Penn's College Houses provide supportive residential communities for the education of undergraduate students. The Houses serve as microcosms of the University's intellectual variety and strengths, experienced outside of the conventional classroom.

Temporary Housing

Off-Campus Services has listings of hostels and student residences, bed and breakfasts, and hotels in the area. Reasonably priced short-term housing options are in very short supply.

Accommodations for Visitors

Visitors to campus and the city may want to check in at The Inn at Penn, an AAA Four Diamond hotel situated in the heart of the University's verdant campus. The Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel is surrounded by Penn's famed education and medical centers. There are also guest and conference accommodations in Penn residence halls.

Dining

Penn Dining

Bon Appétit at Penn Dining recognizes the great power and importance of food. Dining rooms are gathering places, and breaking bread together helps create a sense of community and comfort.

Retail Dining on Campus

Retail dining options include 1920 Dining Commons, home to The Burger and Sandwich Shop, Starbucks and Subway, Houston Hall and its Houston Market, Mark's Café in the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center and McClelland Café in the Quad.

Food Trucks and Carts

Food vending is a tradition at Penn, dating back to when the University was predominantly a commuter school. Today, vending activity around campus includes more than 90 trucks, carts and tables selling various foods.

University Club

Membership to the University Club, located in the Inn at Penn, is open to Penn faculty, staff, alumni, graduate students, emeritus faculty and retired staff. Membership privileges include complimentary morning refreshments, access to a reasonably priced lunch buffet and preferred discounts.
